Learning fractions can be rather complicated. All fractions have a top number (numerator) and a bottom number (denominator). There are problems involving fractions which require several steps to be taken before you get to the solution. Many fraction problems also require that more than one basic math operation be utilized. The four operations are addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. If you are lacking proficiency in any of these areas, you will struggle with doing fractions. Mastering fractions require lots of practice. In this article, I will present various examples to demonstrate how the four math operations come into play with solving fractions.
